Appointments
Please make an appointment by calling the Clinic or clicking the Book Appointment Online
button. Please note that while every effort is made by your GP to see patients at the appointed time, urgent cases will be seen as a priority and thus delays may occur. The reception staff will endeavour to keep you informed of any delays. If you cannot make it to your appointment on time, it would greatly be appreciated if you could contact our friendly reception team to let them know. Home Visits
Home visits may be arranged for regular patients who are unable to attend the clinic. These visits must be pre-arranged with your doctor. Please call for more information.
Longer Consultations
Patients are advised that long consultations are available with your doctor for multiple or complex medical issues. A standard consultation is approximately 15 minutes. If you may require a longer consultation please advise reception staff at the time of booking the appointment.
After Hours Care
After hours care is provided by your GP for patients, by NATIONAL HOME DOCTOR SERVICES. Please call 13 74 25. NHDS provides home visits and free phone advice to patients between the hours of 6pm-8am weekdays and from 12 noon Saturday until 8am the following Monday. ALMS is open all day on public holidays.

Billing Policy
Your doctors are independant practitioners and establish their own billing policy. Please contact the reception for further infomation regarding your doctor's billing policy.
Telephone Calls
The doctors at the clinic will take calls immediately if the matter is urgent. Otherwise, you can leave your details with reception and your doctor will call you back at their earliest convenience.
Results of Tests
Reception staff are unable to discuss the results of pathology, x-ray, ultrasound and other imaging results on the telephone or at the reception desk. We kindly request that you discuss the follow up arrangements with your doctor at the time of consultation. In most cases, you will need to make a further appointment to discuss the result(s).
Interpreter services
If you require an interpreter, please notify the clinic in advance so that we can organise for an interpreter to be present at the time of consultation. Please note there may be an additional cost applicable to this service.
Patient Privacy
All patient medical records are confidential documents. It is the policy of Lakeside Medical Clinic to maintain the security of personal health information at all times to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff.
Your doctor has procedures in place to ensure the provisions of the Federal Privacy Act and Victorian Medical Records Act are observed at all times. Information can be obtained from:
